Becoming a member of The California National Organization for Women shows your support of the work we do to ensure equality for women and girls. Your membership will help us continue the work we have planned and break new ground . Our Action Staff does an amazing job working for women's rights by supporting, opposing and introducing legislation; electing feminists to office; creating educational programs and newsletters; maintaining one of the best web sites on women's issues; organizing grassroots actions; working in the field, training new activists, and supporting chapters; speaking about the issues and responding to the press. Your membership will support our work towards positive change at every level and bring women to true social, political and economic equality.  Your membership gives you access to our semi-annual Activist newsletter, the weekly e-newsletter, and action alerts.

• February Media Awards Dinner in Los Angeles, honoring the feminists in media who tell our stories.
• May Women in the Workplace Breakfast in Silicon Valley, joining women in unions, small businesses, and corporations working to integrate work, family, and civic life.
• August Vote Your Voice Event in San Francisco, bringing politicians and women artists to the stage to inspire the next generation to get out and vote.
• October Educational Awards Luncheon in Sacramento, honoring educators and giving scholarships to young women who need and deserve our financial support and mentoring.

Your membership will support California NOW’s presence at the capitol. a lobbyist specifically focused on feminist issues in California. (See Bill Tracking for the current list of bills we're watching.)   Over 100 priority bills are tracked each year, and California NOW issues an annual Legislative Report Card rating state Senators and Assembly members based on their voting record.

Activist Training in September gathering young feminists from around the state to teach them how to work for women's rights in our democracy.

Publication of the Family Court Report documenting how perfectly fit mothers are loosing custody of their children because of gender bias, due process violations, and corruption in these courts.

A Passion for Justice: 21st Century Feminism, (produced with the help of the California NOW Foundation) which Gloria Steinem says, "is a vital, informative, inspiring film."

Action for Justice:  Making a Difference for Women and Girls training video to help train new activists throughout the state year-round!, helping to train new activists year round and throughout the state!

Created a Discussion Guide for A Passion for Justice, and an Activist Training Manual for Action for Justice, to help activists and educators to better use these materials
